Purpose: Local-first reading magnifier, browser-local text handling, accessible reading aids, embeddable widget, bounded Reader API, and public-safe machine-readable translation metadata for PlatPhormNews.

## Public Access
- Public-safe pages, browser-local reading, docs, discovery files, health summary, OpenAPI, RSS/feed, sitemap, widget builder, and read-only MCP are available without PLATPHORM_API_KEY.
- Analytics ingestion and any future server mutation require PLATPHORM_API_KEY. Server settings persistence is intentionally unsupported.

## Translation Behavior
- The human hover, touch, paste, and local-file workflows run the bounded dictionary/special-mode translation in the browser and do not send text to the Reader API.
- The public API is available for explicit machine/API use; optional enrichment can call only fixed trusted PlatPhorm services.
- Reader uses local dictionary/special-mode translation today and labels degraded output when no dictionary pair exists.
- No provider-grade, certified, legal, medical, or model-backed translation is claimed unless a real provider is configured.
- Same-language requests return the source text with an explicit same-language state.
- Server-side audio generation is unavailable; browser speech support is treated as a client capability only.
- Offline language metadata can be cached, but offline translation is not claimed.

- x-vercel-ja4-digest is fingerprint-adjacent metadata. Reader may hash it for protected/internal correlation, but raw values are not exposed in public artifacts.
